I love ThinkPad notebook keyboards and MacBook trackpads. But the XPS 15 is undoubtedly my new favorite laptop. This is not to downplay the XPS 13 itself, which is a fine, ultraportable device with huge advantages. The price for the 13- Inch device starts at just $799 and offers a tremendous experience if you don't need the extra performance or the larger, better display of the 15-inch model.Comparison, Available online, Long, Date: 2016-08-01

A handful of niggles and the somewhat disappointing battery life aside, Dell should pat itself on the back for delivering yet another top-notch Windows 10 laptop. The XPS 15 is powerful, portable, and packed with all the features you'd expect from a high-end Device desires. All in all, it's hard not to be in love with the new Dell XPS 15. It's a great combination of cutting-edge mobile technology paired with premium build materials like machined aluminum and carbon fiber. What's not to love? As if that wasn't enough, Dell's groundbreaking Infinity Edge Display technology is now finally available in the 15-inch format that allows it to be housed in a super-compact, high-quality, essentially 14-inch chassis design.Individual review, available online, Lang, date: 2016-04-26

After all is said and done, the Dell XPS 15 2016 model is one of the best notebooks you will find in the premium 15-inch laptop category. The XPS 15 easily rivals the 15-inch Apple MacBook Pro and offers several cutting-edge features on par with the ASUS ZenBook Pro. Unfortunately, the mediocre battery life and expensive price point (compared to the aforementioned MacBook Pro and ZenBook Pro) prevent us from giving this Dell our Editor's Choice Award. A MacBook Pro competitor for Windows users

Source:

Engadget

If you've been looking for a Windows alternative to the 15-inch MacBook Pro, Dell's XPS 15 is your best bet - and I'd argue that you're the only one suitable. It's powerful and thin and light for what it is, with a comfortable keyboard and a nice 4K screen option with accurate colors. My only real disappointment is that the battery life is on the short side - no surprise with a 4K display, but a shame nonetheless. Individual Review, Available Online, Long, Date : 06.04.2016

The Dell XPS 15 is a stunning laptop. It doesn't have the immediate visual impact of the tiny XPS 13, but there's no doubt that it packs a lot of power into a streamlined 15.6-inch laptop. A great laptop gets bigger and a little bit better

Source:

PC world

The XPS 15's keyboard could be bigger. The backlight bleeding issue could take some work. But the overwhelming number of people interested in laptops this size buy these devices for performance, and that's where the XPS 15 shines. Sure, it's not quite the tiny, groundbreaking laptop that the XPS 13 was, but that's not entirely fair. As anyone who's suffered from sibling rivalry knows, sibling means sibling. Not twin. Siblings have to find their own way, no just follow, and the XPS 15 does it quite well.Individual review, Available online, Medium, Date: 2016-03-24

Dell XPS 15 (2016) review

So the Dell XPS 15 isn't a smashing gaming portable, more like a good all-around laptop with great battery life that you can also play games on pretty well. It's also a bit pricey, with MSI's brilliant GS40 6QE Phantom at over £100 less available, with much more compelling gaming features and a lighter body. The difference in price is mostly down to the screen though. It's nice and gives great bragging rights but adds £300 more to the price compared to the Full HD model. So the latter is the cheaper option, although Full HD is better suited to GPU performance anyway. Performance is matched. Individual review, available online, very long, date: 03/21/2016

Build quality is also excellent and the InfinityEdge display still looks absolutely stunning. The Dell XPS 15 is a premium-feeling 4K laptop that outperforms the MacBook Pro in several categories. Its frameless design should be the gold standard going forward. Aside from the high-end build quality and top-notch performance, you're probably considering the price of the XPS 15. At $2229 as configured and tested here, the SKU we're running through our process is definitely expensive. Review: Dell XPS 15 Touch

High-end performance remains prevalent in the 15-inch laptop form factor, so pricing is likely to be another important factor for buyers considering the category. Starting at $1,600 for the touchscreen version (the model I tested costs At $2,100), the XPS 15 Touch isn't in the stratospheric price range, but it's on the higher end when compared to touchscreen devices in the same ballpark like the Lenovo Y50 or Toshiba Satellite Radius P55W -C, with the latter even having the same screen resolution. It is worth a few hundred euros more for a state-of-the-art display and ready for tomorrow with functions like USB-C? Discuss among yourselves. With that in mind, we can conclude that this notebook can handle some gaming and short video renderings on the go (since the CPU's Turbo Boost feature isn't well used), but it will mostly suit people who don't aim for extended use off the charger and for anyone who constantly needs perfect screen quality for color sensitive work. Still, the price is a bit off and you can compensate with the full HD non-touch panel variant as it's a great way to use the Reduce costs for this notebook.
