HP tests Android on netbooks

This is totally off-topic, but today I was wondering if Google would eventually become Skynet. In case you're wondering, I just got hooked on the Terminator TV series.

Anyway, the WSJ reports that HP is currently testing Google's Android platform for a possible netbook. They haven't committed to an Android-based netbook, but HP's Satjiv Chahil, VP of the PC division, confirmed that the company is currently testing the operating system .

"We want to evaluate and are investigating the capabilities of Android for the computing and communications industries," said Chahil.

If a PC maker could put Android in a netbook or even a notebook, I'd certainly buy one. It's pretty obvious that Google is slowly encroaching on Microsoft's territory.
