, HP will conduct a worldwide voluntary recall and exchange program for approximately

74,000

Batteries used in certain HP notebook computers. HP customers affected by this program are eligible for a free replacement battery for each verified recalled battery.

Batteries can overheat, resulting in fire and pose a burn hazard. To reduce the possibility of battery failure causing damage, HP strongly recommends that all customers stop using affected batteries immediately.
